Interstate 64 runs through the northern end of the city, with access to KY 7 at Exit 172. Kentucky Route 9, the AA Highway, begins from KY 1-and-7 just north of the city limits and runs 111 miles (179 km) to the Cincinnati area. Huntington, West Virginia, is 29 miles (47 km) east of Grayson via I-64, and Lexington is 96 miles (154 km) to the west.

Carter County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 26,627. [1] Its county seat is Grayson. [2] Carter County is in the Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is home to Carter Caves State Resort Park.

The Van Kitchen House, located south of Grayson, Kentucky, off Kentucky Route 7, is a saddlebag log house built in about 1838. It has also been known as the Elijah Horton House . It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Founded in 1915, [1] the pizzeria serves coal fired brick oven pizza prepared in the style of a tomato pie.
