El Palomar is a town in the urban agglomeration of Greater Buenos Aires in Argentina.It is located 20 km (12 mi) west of Buenos Aires.. The city has the peculiarity of being divided between two partidos of Buenos Aires Province: Morón, where it is called El Palomar, and Tres de Febrero, where it is called Ciudad Jardín Lomas del Palomar.
The Parish Church began to be built in 1735 until the beginning of 1758. There are three bells in the tower: the oldest, Santo Tomás de Villanueva, dates from 1817, while the other two, Maria dels Dolors and María Loreto, were cast in 1941. Santo Tomás is one of numerous wine-growing regions in Baja California. It was originally the site of the Misión Santo Tomás de Aquino. After the mission was abandoned, it was taken as a post for the Mexican frontier garrison and for a time as the capital of the territory of Baja California. The town grew up east of the Mission site.
