Skamania County (/ s k ə ˈ m eɪ n i ə / skə-MAY-nee-ə) is a county located in the U.S. state of Washington. As of the 2020 census , the population was 12,036. [ 2 ] The county seat and largest incorporated city is Stevenson , [ 3 ] although the Carson River Valley CDP is more populous.

It is the county seat of Skamania County [5] and home to the Skamania County Court House and Sheriff's Office. The population was 1,491 at the 2020 census . Stevenson is home to the Columbia Gorge Museum, which focuses on several tribes that were once located near the Columbia River.
