Simon Posford (born 28 October 1971), better known by his stage name Hallucinogen, is an English electronic musician, specializing in psychedelic trance music. His first studio album, Twisted, released in 1995, is considered one of the most influential albums in the genre. [1] His second album, The Lone Deranger, was released in 1997. [2]
Twisted is the debut studio album by Hallucinogen, released on 16 October 1995 on Dragonfly Records. The album reached Number 27 in the French album charts, and it is one of the most successful albums releases in the psychedelic trance genre, with a total sales over 85,000 copies worldwide. [ 2 ]
The song, first released in 1952 and later collected on the album King Pleasure Sings/Annie Ross Sings, was an underground hit, and resulted in her winning DownBeat ' s New Star award. [ 4 ] [ 6 ] [ 7 ] Ross released a second version with the vocalese trio Lambert, Hendricks & Ross on their 1960 album The Hottest New Group in Jazz .
