Innisfail (/ ˈ ɪ n ɪ s f eɪ l / IN-is-fayl) is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in the Calgary-Edmonton Corridor , south of Red Deer at the junction of Highway 2 and Highway 54 .
However he was persuaded to continue to publish the newspaper and from October 1973 it was published only three times a week without telexed news content. He won the Innisfail electoral district by a wide margin defeating three other candidates to hold it for the governing Progressive Conservative caucus. [3] He would be re-elected to a second term with his largest plurality in the 1982 Alberta general election . [ 4 ]
The dispute finally ended in August 2017 when the union voted to ratify a new eight-year deal. The agreement included an increase in the work week from 35 to 37.5 hours, the dismissal of 26 union staff (with 25 returning to the newspaper and one moving to Cape Breton), and wage cuts. [36]
