Lira University (LU) is a university in Uganda.It is one of the eleven public universities and degree-awarding institutions in the country. [3] It was initially established in 2009 as a constituent college of Gulu University and attained autonomy as a fully-fledged public university through an Act of Parliament under Statutory Instrument 2015 No. 35 on July 16, 2015.

Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is a national assessment body in Uganda, established in 1983 by an act of Parliament. [1] The UNEB Secretariat is headed by the Executive Secretary, who is the Chief Executive head and the accounting officer of the board.
In 2009, GU established a constituent college in the city of Lira, [10] which is about 100 kilometres (62 mi) to the southeast of Gulu. [11] The campus, then named Lira University College, [12] admitted its first students in August 2012 (100 of them). [13]

Planning for LivingStone International University began as early as 2006. The LivingStone International University Strategic Plan 2009-2014 was completed December 19, 2007 and submitted to the Uganda National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) with the goal of being chartered as a fully accredited university by the Uganda government.
