Three years later, the city designated the Ocean City Residential Historic District from Third to Eighth Streets, and along Wesley, Ocean, and Central Avenues; also included in the District was the Life-Saving Station at 4th and Atlantic. Built in 1953, the 24th Street Motel was located in North Wildwood at 24th Street and Surf Ave. It originally had two stories but an additional level was added later. The motel featured a pool and sun deck, and it was demolished in late 2005 to make room for condos.
