Postcards from Heaven is the second studio album by English music duo Lighthouse Family.It was released on 20 October 1997 on Wildcard / Polydor Records.The album produced three top-10 hits ("Raincloud", "High" and "Lost in Space") and two top-30 hits ("Question of Faith" and "Postcard from Heaven") in the UK, with "High" also reaching number one in Australia.
Lillian Vernon was started by Lillian Menasche at the age of twenty-four, by placing advertisements in Seventeen magazine for personalized purses and belts. [1] As a result of this success, the Vernon Specialties Company [2] became focused on products for young women by advertising in magazines focused on that emergent market.
In reaction, the company focused on this removing all non-personalized gifts and the motto was changed from Great Unexpected Gifts" to "The Place for Personalized Gifts." Research also showed their typical patrons were women who viewed themselves as unique gift givers. This moved the company to make stores warm and less masculine.
