Read all five descriptions. I’ve exemplified each profile with a baby I’ve met who fits it almost exactly. The Angel baby. As you might expect, this is the kind of baby every first-time pregnant woman imagines herself to have: good as gold. Pauline is such a baby – mellow, eternally smiling, and consistently undemanding. Her cues are easy ...
Can't wake up baby / put her on EASY. Started by Annave. 2 Replies 3937 Views July 05, 2019, 15:06:33 pm ...
The reason it says not to let them nap longer than 2 hours is so they're not catching up on any lost night sleep in the day and also to get enough food in them in the day so they don't need it at night. However, I let ds2 (angel baby) nap as long as he wanted in the day and he'd still sleep all night. Like everything, it depends on the baby.
I have been away from the forum for awhile, but I am STILL having trouble with short naps with my now 6 month old baby boy. I just can't figure him out. We were getting better naps of around an hour, but he is back to 40 min or less. We are on a 4 hour EASY and we introduced solids about a month ago as he is a big, hungry boy. He is around 18 lbs.
So I think you solved the case Baby Whisperers! Drop the cat nap! I had no idea he could stay awake so long. He was a little bit grizzly at 3 hrs but after a bit of a cuddle and a lie down on the carpet he got a 2nd wind and woke up a bit. I gave him his solids and changed his nappy and this seemed to keep him going.
This is intended as a guide, not because your baby should be acting in a certain way. ANGEL EATING: They're generally good eaters as babies; if given a chance, they're open to trying new (solid) foods. ACTIVITES: Moderately active; they play independently from babyhood on. These babies have a high tolerance for change; they're very portable.

I'm not sure exactly how people define 'independent' (prob varies depending on who you ask!) but what you described definitely sounds very normal - my DD was exactly like that at 5 months: getting bored and wanting me in the room.
