The Colt King Cobra Target arrived yesterday, and I am well pleased with it so far, after cleaning and dry fire. I am most pleased with the double action trigger feel (at 8 pounds) and the single action is right around two. Both are a smooth progression with no sudden changes or stacking.

My new Colt came in and I am impressed with the initial quality out of the box. The trigger is smoother than any DA .22 I bought new. I shot it a few times to sight it in then ran about 100 rounds with no miss-fires. It's a little smaller than my S&W 617's, similar in size to an SP101. \
I have the King Cobra Target 4.25" barrel). It is the best .357 revolver I have ever owned. The only glitch is the (Mickey Mouse) rear sight.
An area shop has a new one for $859.99 and a trade show demo for $799.99, as well as a King Cobra Carry, 2 inch for $859.99. Plus 6% PA sales tax. Psalms 144:1 Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.
I give Colt credit for getting back into the consumer market but there's more to it than putting a serpent name on a gun resembling a Charter Arms piece . Member NRA and Buckeye Firearms Association. Reactions: Bob K , Curt360 and Injunbro
Recently I had noticed a Colt Cobra being listed for sale/trade on Armslist in my area. I had sent the guy an email, we had exchanged texts working out a deal for an AR I had built but the deal fell through cause neither of us could ever work out a time to meet. I saw it listed again, so figured I'd try a second time and I'm glad I did.
#1. Is the S&W N Frame (example, Model 29/Dirty Harry), and the Colt Anaconda frame the same size? #2. Is the S&W K Frame and the old Colt Trooper, and/or Colt King Cobra, the same frame size? I realize these are complicated questions that often generate conflicting answers.
Alliant site lists load of 4.6 grains as recommended max. I am going to reduce it my about 10% and start at 4.2 grains . Anyone have experience loading this powder and bullet ? Will be used in my S&W Model 10 M&P and my Colt King Cobra . Thank you Respectfully Joe Dice
I'd like to have a Colt Python, but they are much too expensive for me! I've bought my Smith's years ago, almost 50. I have reduced the handguns in my collection to 4 S&W's, and 2 Ruger semi-auto's.....and some rifles. Even the Smith's are still over 1/2 the price, but I'm out of the market, now. Bob
