I have found the process to be very simple - especially the unfreezing/refreezing. Each major credit agency has a calendar where you specify the date to unfreeze and the date to refreeze. The credit is unfrozen on the date you enter (can be same day you are entering the unfreeze) and refrozen at midnight on the date you refreeze.
On 2 occasions after unfreezing my credit via chat I asked if this feature doesn’t work & the reps would not answer that question directly. When I call to unfreeze the reps first refer me to the website and I ask if they’re aware it doesn’t work & they just say “okay” instead of answering.
The confirmation code is different than the pin number to unfreeze. You will not be able to do anything related to using your credit with a freeze on all 3 reports. This includes changing cell phone carriers on contract, shopping for auto/home insurance and applying for apartments, etc. so you will need the pin number to lift the freeze ...
If this happened with TransUnion and/or Equifax, try following the aforementioned strategy of using non-FCRA opt outs with the three main bureaus after ensuring that you either have control over or have shut down any online accounts with the TransUnion freeze/unfreeze/dispute service and MyEquifax.
Now, this weekend specifically, I applied for an auto loan and I can't get pre-approved because the loaner only uses Transunion. I tried unfreezing my credit through Transunion by the website keeps saying "The TransUnion Credit Freeze Service is temporarily unavailable". I've tried using different browsers, chrome, firefox, and edge and none of ...
Instead of using the PIN feature where you don’t have to log in, try creating a TransUnion account. It will ask you a ton of questions to verify your identity. You can freeze and unfreeze your credit from inside your account. I don’t know what happens if you setup an account and you previously had a PIN locking your credit.
Trying to unfreeze credit with TransUnion but my account hasn't been made. General. Hi Redditors! I could really use some advice right now. Earlier today I found that I had some suspicious charges on my debit card. Naturally, I called my bank to dispute those charges and to get my card replaced. My account was also shut down, removing all of my ...
This worked. Open your browser in incognito or a private window. Google transunion login. official site > member login. Log into your account. Request/view your credit report. Let it load. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and back up. Click on the “Credit Freeze” tab.
Transunion won't let me unfreeze credit report! I froze my credit report with Transunion many many years ago after finding out my SSN is compromised. I go in and unfreeze it (along with the other bureaus) whenever I need a credit check. Now I'm trying to buy a home - and I'm at a critical point where I could lose my entire earnest money - if I ...
The trial cost $1. Be warned, after 7 days it'll renew automatically for around $30 I think. These fucks have some nerve though, I can instantly freeze/unfreeze my experian credit with the click of a button, but when I canceled the trial, it forces me to unfreeze.
