Rowley Regis (/ ˈ r aʊ l i ˈ r iː dʒ ɪ s / ROW-lee REE-jis) is a town and former municipal borough in Sandwell in the county of the West Midlands, England.It forms part of the area immediately west of Birmingham known as the Black Country and encompasses the three Sandwell council wards of Blackheath, Cradley Heath and Old Hill, and Rowley. [2]
The estate was put up for public sale by the Bassano brothers. Following a public subscription, Haden Hill House, Haden Hall and parkland were bought for £8,500 for the use of the local community. The title deeds were handed to Rowley Regis Urban District Council on 14 October 1922, and the park was opened one week later.

Warley was a short-lived county borough and civil parish in the geographical county of Worcestershire, England, forming part of the West Midlands conurbation. The name was re-used in 1966 by the creation of the County Borough of Warley and civil parish, [3] from the merger of Oldbury with Smethwick and Rowley Regis as well as parts of Dudley and Tipton. However, this was short-lived as the borough was merged with West Bromwich in 1974 to form the metropolitan borough of Sandwell.
Cradley Heath was originally an area of heathland between Cradley, Netherton, and Old Hill, in the Staffordshire parish of Rowley Regis. The residents of Cradley had grazing rights, subject to an annual payment to the Lord of the Manor. As on other commons in the Black Country, cottages were built encroaching on the heath.
