Tomasz "Tom" P. Malinowski (/ ˌ m æ l ɪ ˈ n aʊ s k iː /; born September 23, 1965) [1] is an American politician and diplomat who was the U.S. representative from New Jersey's 7th congressional district from 2019 to 2023. A Democrat, he served as Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor in the Obama administration.
