Then you make hallowed water, and throw that stuff all over the desert. You don't even have to be precise, since it spreads on its own. Kill a mechanical boss to get steampunker. Move her into a house in the hallow and buy hallow solution and a clentaminator from her. Then spray your desert.
Tiamat-86. • • Edited. pearlsand skybridge. "Dark, Blood and Light Mummies can easily be farmed for their shards by making a section of Desert evil or Hallow, or making an artificial Desert. All that is necessary is a one-wide flat surface of Pearlsand, Ebonsand, or Crimsand. (dont need the whole biome to change, just the spawn tiles)
Water candles really help. Light Mummies and Dark Mummies are the only enemies that drop these items, so killing them is the only way to get them. You can speed up the process by using jungle blocks, a Water Candle, and Battle Potions to increase the spawn rate and speed up the process. It shouldn't be that hard, it's a 10% drop.
r/Terraria • Yo-yos in Terraria are an incredibly neat subclass in theory, but fall short in my opinion. There are not enough unique yo-yos in Terraria. Currently, there are 2 yo-yos that do something special, the Hive-Five and the Terrarian. I came up with a couple more.
I can't get light shards. I 've been grinding killing light mummies in the hallowed desert but I've killed a lot and still haven't gotten any light shards, I also haven't gotten any dark shards but I haven't killed that many blood mummies. Edit: Lol as I was posting this I got a light shard but the drop rate should be 10% and I killed more than 30.

I want to be well prepared and wanted to craft the sky fracture sword. But crafting it requires 2 light shards. Apparently light chards can only be obtained when you kill 3 different mobs that all spawn ...
50 blocks is only for a meteor biome. Every biome is different. I think 250 is the standard for most biomes (I know it is for a dungeon biome and Rarras said near the bottom it is for a desert biome too). However, Light Mummies do not spawn in "biomes" they just spawn on pearlsand, so only one block is good enough. Reply.
There's no hallowed blocks to spread to sand, put them next to hallowed ice (or buy hallow seeds from the Dryad and put sand on the hallowed grass), or just get a bit of hallowed ice. Next you'll need 1500 blocks of pure sand, and let the hallow spread on it, and only then you'll have a hallowed desert where light mummies can spawn.
Dark Shards. My tally counter says I’ve killed about 70 Dark Mummies. Some were also killed by a lava trap. I have only got one dark shard, is there a reason for this or is my luck just awful. Medium World Expert Corruption Hardmode No mech bosses killed. Thanks for any help. comments.
The Dark Shards you need drop from mummies in any Evil Desert. Corruption or Crimson. Not the Hallow. As for your missing Hallow, it’s possible the V-shaped biome hit your jungle, and since Jungle can’t become Hallow, you have no surface Hallow in your world. If you want to artificially create a surface Hallow, you have a few options.
