No, the Cook County Sheriff's Academy at Triton has a full-time and part-time academy. I can't speak for the part-time academy but the full-time academy is paramilitary and is certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.

When I was there, there were 2 Metro (Suburban) homerooms, so about 60 recruits. CPD Acad is basically like high school, your instructors will change through the day for the classes you have.
guys--not sure why everyone doubts a commissioned law enforcement agency would fail to comply with laws in the state where they are. They got a bill because there's a law that says they have to pay it. otherwise the NYPD wouldn't have wasted their time. stupid--yes. welcome to civil service. it's riddled with ridiculousness lol.
