The trocar hit dead center, thought it was a fluk so shot it again and dead center. Moved back to 30 yards again a dead center hit. Then we moved to forty because at a longer distance broadheads show their ugly trates.
Just assembled 3 arrows using the Muzzy Trocar 100 gr heads. Super sharp and thick blades and I like the slight right helix that helps spin the arrow. While I'm sure a recent bow tuning is primarily responsible, I couldn't believe how these flew dead on with my field points! Can't wait until 9/15
You could sharpen them by removing them and laying them on a flat piece of wet or dry 400 grit paper work back and forth. Not sure if that’s what Muzzy recommends or not but in the machinist world that would be one way to do it. Those edges I believe work like a flint head would.

Haven't been a fan of muzzy in a long time but this head could be decent. Looks a little funny but all steel and seems to be a decent design. Nothing solid really holding the blades in (from early deployment) like a clip or band or something that I could tell so that's possibly a bit concerning.
I feel the sharpness of the Muzzy Trocar blades were a bit sharper then the Exodus but again they are at a different thickness. Looking at both side by side it appears as if the Exodus has three knives attached to it as opposed to razor blades. The thicker Exodus blades will probably maintain their edge through hard impacts much better.
From Muzzy Not with the current design, best to shoot into target and do not pull the arrow back out but push thru target, unscrew head and remove. We are coming out with a practice blade package for 2017 so you can change out the blades for the practice set and not have to worry about the expandable blades hanging in the target. Thanks
I had been shooting 100 grain Muzzy Trocar's on my ACC-340 Pro Hunter's up until recently. I decided to shoot them on my ACC 3-71's. I was getting about 2" left of my field points. I have been wanting to add a little to the front on my ACC 3-71's and wanted to stick with Muzzy Trocar's. The only thing in that weight was for crossbows.
After spending time performing various tunings I am able to get the Trocar within a 4 inch circle out to 60 yards. I shoot a 62lb bow and practice a few months before hunting season so I am by no means a superior shot. I do feel like the Trocar has improved my confidence past 40 yards even though I probably would never shoot past 40.
I bought a bunch of the muzzy trocar switch heads when they were on sale at a closeout. I cant remember if I got that name correct but they were the ones that you could adjust the cutting diameter with a collar. I found those to be more accurate than regular Trocars.
