The Edmonton tornado, also known as Black Friday to Edmontonians, was a powerful, and devastating tornado that ripped through the eastern parts of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and parts of neighbouring Strathcona County on the afternoon of Friday, July 31, 1987.
