Numa Turcatti Pesquera (30 October 1947 [1] – 11 December 1972) [2] was a Uruguayan law student, known for being one of the victims of the 1972 Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 plane crash, dying 60 days after the crash.
Arturo Nogueira died on 15 November and three days later, Rafael Echavarren also died, both from their infected wounds. Numa Turcatti, whose extreme revulsion against eating human flesh dramatically accelerated his physical decline, died on day 60 (11 December) weighing only 25 kg (55 pounds). He was the last victim of the crash.
