Because of the care and support of many people through the years, the Nelson-Atkins is home to more than 42,000 works of art, with a campus that includes the original Nelson-Atkins Building, the Bloch Building expansion that opened in 2007, and the Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park.
The Museum is open to the public for most US observed Holidays. We welcome you and your families to visit us during your free time! For our Holiday closure dates, please click here .
Museum admission required. Guests must first register for free museum admission before they visit anywhere inside the museum, including Rozzelle Court Restaurant. Members may present their membership ID cards and do not need to register in advance.
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art offers internships to individuals seeking valuable experience in their area of interest or study. Internship opportunities vary and go beyond the study of art history; firsthand experience ranges from clerical work to research and focused projects.
