The Wauseon Exempted Village School District is the public school system in Wauseon, Ohio, United States. There are four schools and three buildings in the district (Wauseon Elementary and Middle Schools share one building): Wauseon Primary (Formally Legget Street Primary School) - Grades Kindergarten to 2nd Grade. The principal is Blake Young.
Wauseon High School received the "Excellent" rating, from the Ohio Department of Education, for eleven years in a row from the 2003–2004 school year to the 2014–2015 school year, when the ODE ceased the grading format. This included receiving the "Excellent with Distinction" honor for seven years.
Wauseon (/ ˈ w ɔː s i ɒ n / WAW-see-on) [5] is a city in and the county seat of Fulton County, Ohio, [6] approximately 31 mi (51 km) west of Toledo. The population was 7,568 at the time of the 2020 census .
However, a railroad was built further south. Wauseon sprung up in 1854 when the railroad was extended to that point, and incorporated in 1859. [7] With the commercial success that the railroad brought to Wauseon, the citizens of the county voted to move the county seat to Wauseon in 1871. [6] The Fulton County Courthouse was built in 1872. Youth Connection Charter School (YCCS) is a charter school in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1997 it is the only charter school in Illinois that targets dropouts and other at-risk students. YCCS serves over 3,500 students through 17 campuses throughout Chicago. [1]
