The Fireman Sam theme song is virtually a copy of the 80's hit song - Everybody Wants to Rule The World by Tears for Fears. Since this song was released in 1985 and Fireman Sam started broadcasting in 1987. I can't see the similarity myself, certainly not to the extent of claiming one to be a virtual copy of the other.
