Miami Valley Christian Academy is a private, non-denominational Christian school located on the east side of Cincinnati in Newtown, Ohio, United States.MVCA educates children aged Preschool to 12th grade.
The name was changed again in 1968 to State Technical Institute and Rehabilitation Center (STIRC) and, in 1971, the first female student was enrolled. 1974 saw the addition of a health and recreation complex, which features a library, gymnasium, Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool, weight room, archery range, and even a bowling alley.
As of the 2022–23 school year, the district, comprising eight schools, had an enrollment of 1,545 students and 209.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 7.4:1. [1] Many of the academies provide students with academic and professional field experience.
It also has classes for mathematics, science, language arts, government and personal finance and, from the academic year 2011–2012, elective courses including literature in film, creative writing, current events and study skills/OGT preparation. The school's yearbook has students from all four Adams County high schools.
