Tenet Healthcare Corporation is a for-profit multinational healthcare services company based in Dallas, Texas, United States.Through its brands, subsidiaries, joint ventures, and partnerships, [7] including United Surgical Partners International (USPI), [8] the company operates 65 hospitals and over 450 healthcare facilities. [9]
Tenet (then known as National Medical Enterprises) purchased the hospital in June 1979. [ 9 ] [ 10 ] [ 11 ] which was renamed John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in 1984. [ 6 ]
It was acquired by Columbia/HCA in 1996; Tenet Health Systems in 1999; Vanguard Health Systems in 2009; and once again Tenet Healthcare Corp. in 2013 [2] when Tenet acquired Vanguard. [3] MWMC also operates an outpatient diagnostic and rehabilitation facility, MetroWest Wellness Center, in Framingham.
