Located along the Rappahannock River bordering the City of Fredericksburg and Stafford County, Spotsylvania County is part of the Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area. Pilot Point is located at (33.396350, –96.958719 According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.4 square miles (8.7 km 2), all land. [6]The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.
The building has large sandstone arches in the back that open to the Market Square. Market Square is a paved area that abuts the rear of the building. The building housed city offices until 1982.
