For the first time on 11 November 1989, Petko Georgiev gave the national address "Ladies and gentlemen, good day". In December 1992, due to budget cuts, the Orpheus station (which, since 1977, was broadcasting knowledge programmes daily from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00) was closed down and some of their programmes were transferred to Hristo Botev Radio.
The Zvezdara Forest today covers an area of 137 hectares, out of which 21 hectare is arranged as a park. Classic FM started broadcasting on 19 December 1994, thus becoming the first classical radio station in Bulgaria. It is also the oldest radio oldest radio station owned by BTV Media Group. Since September 5, 2006, Radio "Alma Mater" broadcast a joint program with Classic FM under the name of "Radio Alma Mater - Classic FM". [3]
Radio City began broadcasting in February 2001, first in the capital Sofia at 99.7 MHz and later in Plovdiv, Varna, Stara Zagora, Blagoevgrad and Kyustendil. In 2007 it won a license for Lovech . From August 19, 2008 Radio City broadcasts in Ruse (until 3 September 2010) and Veliko Tarnovo (until 24 May 2010).
