Besides -the Swedish word in use nowadays is "fönster". They are not from Swedish. "Window" and "thorpe" are from Old Norse, The predecessor to Modern Swedish, but a different language. This needs tidying up, since this page should only contain relatively recent borrowings from a more modern state of the languages.
