John Henry McBryde (October 9, 1931 – December 25, 2022) was an American lawyer who served as a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas from 1990 to 2022.

He was in private practice in Texas from 1989 to 1994 and an assistant district attorney with the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office in Fort Worth, Texas from 1994 to 1998. O'Connor then served as Assistant United States Attorney of the Northern District of Texas from 1998 to 2007.
Prior to his election campaign, he was a defense attorney in Fort Worth, Texas. [3] He was 63 years old when he ran for Place 5 of CCA. The Houston Chronicle described him as having a "politically famous name" (referring to the Governor of Wisconsin, who is also named Scott Walker).
