Pinetop–Lakeside is a town in Navajo County, Arizona, United States. According to 2020 census , the population of the town is 4,557. [ 3 ] It was founded in 1984 when the neighboring towns of Pinetop and Lakeside merged.
Surface elevation. 6,700 ft (2,000 m) Rainbow Lake is a 116-acre manmade lake near the town of Pinetop-Lakeside and the community of Lake of the Woods in southern Navajo County, Arizona, United States. The lake was created in 1903 when Mormon settlers dammed Walnut Creek, a tributary of the Little Colorado River, to impound water for irrigation.
Woodland Lake is situated at 6,893 feet (2,101 m). At full capacity, it has a surface area of 18 acres (7.3 ha) with a maximum depth of 20 feet (6.1 m). Because the lake is part of the local irrigation district, at drawdown, it averages 10 acres (4.0 ha). It is shallow and nutrient rich, making it subject to water quality problems in the summer.
