It is often referred to as the Inter Dominions or Interdoms for short as it generally encompasses two series: the Inter Dominion Pacing Championship for pacers and; the Inter Dominion Trotting Championship for trotters.
A meeting with leading Australasian harness racing officials led to a decision that the Inter Dominion Trotting Championship would be discontinued after 2012.
