On November 7, 2022, just one day before Hartford was scheduled to start the 2022–23 season (its final year as a Division I member), Gallagher resigned unexpectedly. [14] In his letter, Gallagher said the school had consistently undermined the program “to the point where player safety and well-being has been jeopardized.”
Murray began his college coaching career in 2007 as the director of basketball operations at Quinnipiac under coach Tom Moore. [6] After one season he was hired as an assistant coach at Post University. Murray left Post to take a graduate assistant position at Arizona in 2009. [7]
