The champions and runners-up of the first division are promoted to the Victorian Premier League for the 2014 season only. The top two teams of the Victorian State League 2 South-East and North-West, the third tier in Victoria and the fourth nationally, are promoted to Victorian State League 1 the next season and the bottom two teams the State League 1 are relegated.
In 2011, the club was crowned Victorian State League Division 1 champions. After being crowned champions, club members decided at the annual general meeting that the club would relocate to the City of Moreland (now City of Merri-bek). The club's name was then changed to Moreland Zebras and played out of DeChene Reserve in Coburg.
The Victorian Premier League and State League 1 to 3 remained the same. 2013 will also see the inaugural State League Champions series take place in Victoria. In the semi-finals, Hoppers Crossing defeated Women's State League 4 North champions Meadow Park SC 4–0. The final was forfeited by Knox City FC, giving the title of overall FFV State League 4 Champions.
