Main Duck Island is a Canadian island in the eastern part of Lake Ontario situated next to the smaller Yorkshire Island. It was purchased by Parks Canada in 1977 and has been administered as part of the Thousand Islands National Park since 1998, even though it is not part of the Thousand Islands region. [1] [2]

[1] [2] It is the largest island in a chain of islands and shoals known as the False Duck Islands, not to be confused with the nearby Main Duck Islands. The creek flows into George Williams Lake, [3] which is within the Red Deer River drainage basin. The lakes and marsh are in the RM of Ponass Lake No. 367 and access is from Highway 35.

Lake St. Joseph is a large lake in Kenora District and Thunder Bay District in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. [1] It is in the James Bay drainage basin and is the source of the Albany River. The east end of the lake can be reached using Ontario Highway 599 from the town of Ignace, 260 kilometres (160 mi) to the south on Ontario Highway 17.
