Lloyd Edgar Eisler, MSM, (born April 28, 1963) is a former Canadian pairs skater. With partner Isabelle Brasseur , he was the 1992 and 1994 Olympic bronze medallist and the 1993 World Champion . Early partnerships and success
Early in her career, Brasseur competed with Pascal Courchesne. They were 5th at the 1985 Skate America.. Brasseur teamed up with Eisler in 1987. [citation needed] At the Canadian Figure Skating Championships, they won the gold medal in 1989, came in third place in 1990, reclaimed the title in 1991, and retained it for the next three years.
Lloyd Eisler and Kristy Swanson ran into their first complication as a team: Swanson, as a left-hander, spun in the opposite direction from Eisler. Choreographer Renée Roca told Eisler that they would simply have to choreograph the routine to take advantage of the difference rather than have each try to adapt to the other's spinning.
