Orangevale is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California, United States. It is part of the Sacramento – Arden-Arcade – Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area . The population was 33,960 at the 2010 census, up from 26,705 at the 2000 census.

Magic Johnson Park is a 104-acre (420,000 m 2) recreation area operated by Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation in the Willowbrook neighborhood. It is named after Los Angeles Lakers star and activist Earvin "Magic" Johnson .
Roberts Regional Recreational Area opened to the public in 1952. It was named for Thomas J. "Tommy" Roberts, then secretary to the East Bay Regional Park District board of directors for 24 years. He continued to serve on the board until his death in 1958, at age 95. [1]

Bend formed a recreation department and hired its first director in April 1949. Before then, summer youth activities were organized jointly with the local school district. Sites were maintained by the public works department until 1964 when the maintenance and recreation programs combined to form a new Parks and Recreation Department.
Established in 1972, [1] [2] the District provides parks, park facilities and recreational programs to the local communities. Management of the Bogart Regional Park was transferred from Riverside County Parks to the District in 2019, and is the largest facility overseen by the District. [3]
