Sekolah Menengah Sains Muzaffar Syah (English: Muzaffar Syah Science Secondary School; known by its acronym MOZAC) is the first science school in the state of Malacca, Malaysia. It was established in 1973 under the Second Malaysia Plan as the first boarding school ( Sekolah Berasrama Penuh ) in the state.

On 4 January 1958, the school was established and known as St. Francis Catholic Chinese High School [11] (Sekolah Tinggi Cina St. Francis). [ 12 ] [ 13 ] The school started with 2 transition classes consisting of 71 students who were former students of the Catholic Elementary School .
The school moved locations several times until it settled in its current location in Kampung Lapan, Bachang, Melaka in 1969, where it was subsequently renamed to Sekolah Menengah Bachang. On 3 November 1973, the school was officially recognised and was launched by the then Chief Minister of Melaka , Dato' Setia Abdul Ghani Ali.
