State Road 50A (SR 50A) is a former segment of SR 50 that runs primarily along West and East Jefferson Street, entirely in the city of Brooksville in the State of Florida. Like its parent route, it is signed east–west. The road begins at the intersection of SR 50 (Cortez Boulevard, including the realigned section) and CR 485 (Cobb Road).
County Road 575 is Burwell Road, a county extension of State Road 575. As the easternmost south to north route in Hernando County, the road runs from the Pasco-Hernando County Line at the bridge over the Withlacoochee River to State Road 50 in Ridge Manor. It was also once a former segment of SR 575 itself. [1]
The run takes between three and five hours to complete, from starting point near the Juniper Springs pool to an exit point off State Road 19 on the way to Lake George. It is bordered to the north and west by North Weeki Wachee, to the east by Brookridge, and to the south, across State Road 50, by Spring Hill. SR 50 leads east 8 miles (13 km) to Brooksville, the Hernando County seat, and west 4 miles (6 km) to its terminus at U.S. Route 19 in Weeki Wachee.
