Driveways rarely have traffic lights , but some may if they handle heavy traffic, especially those leading to commercial businesses or parks.

A road verge is a strip of groundcover consisting of grass or garden plants , and sometimes also shrubs and trees , located between a roadway and a sidewalk . [ 1 ]
Pavers (or paviours), generally in the form of pre-cast concrete blocks, are often used for aesthetic purposes, or sometimes at port facilities that see long-duration pavement loading. Pavers are rarely used in areas that see high-speed vehicle traffic.
