Erode District is one of the 38 districts in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was the largest district by area in the state before the formation of Tirupur district in 2009 and is the third largest by area, as of 2024. The headquarters of the district is Erode.
This Division comprises six Taluks divided into nine CD blocks. The six taluks are as follows: Anthiyur taluk; Bhavani taluk; Gobichettipalayam taluk; Nambiyur taluk; Sathyamangalam taluk; Thalavadi taluk. According to 2011 census, division has a population of 11,65,408 with an area of 3,745 km 2.
