The Army Combat Uniform (ACU) is the current combat uniform worn by the United States Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force and some elements of the U.S. Coast Guard. Within the Air Force and Space Force, it is referred to as the OCP ( Operational Camouflage Pattern ) Uniform , rather than the Army Combat Uniform.
The station's residence was built during 1937 to 1938. It is a one-and-a-half-story 28 by 33 feet (8.5 m × 10.1 m) log building on a concrete and rock masonry foundation, based on a USFS Standard Plan model R-4 #53-c.

A United States Forest Service Guard Station is an administrative building located in a National Forest in the United States which is not at the same location as the District Ranger's headquarters (the Ranger Station). They usually have office and workshop space, tool storage and often sleeping quarters.
It has also been known as Tony Grove Memorial Ranger Station, or Tony Grove Nursery, or Tony Grove Ranger District. [ 2 ] It has an original log cabin built around 1907, or at least between 1907 and 1911, "shortly after the passage of the Sundry Civil Appropriations Act of 1897 that enabled the creation of the U.S. Forest Service .
The Elkhorn Guard Station is one of five surviving USFS-built guard stations. [2] The chief structure is the residence, built in 1933 to replace a smaller cabin that had previously served as the guard station. The 12-foot (3.7 m) by 16-foot (4.9 m) cabin is built of peeled logs on a stone foundation with a gable roof.
The ranger station residence was built in 1936, using wood-frame construction. The 1 + 1 ⁄ 2 -story house is a simple gabled structure with an asymmetrically placed porch framed in timbers. The residence is clad in large singles.
