Cathay Cineplex operated 12 movie screens in the mall but closed down on 30 June 2023. Golden Village and The Projector launched a new collaboration, Golden Village x The Projector (GVxTP), to take over the cinema space in the mall. It was the first air-conditioned cinema building in Singapore, opening on 3 October 1939 with the film The Four Feathers. [2] The cinema had a seating capacity of 1,321 and ancillary spaces such as a women's lounge and a spacious lounge bar. [3]

Golden Village's first cineplex opened in Singapore on 28 May 1992, with the opening of the Yishun 10 complex. Subsequently, it opened more cinemas in Bishan, Tiong Bahru, Boon Lay, Tampines, Marina Square, and Plaza Singapura. In 1998, Golden Village opened a cinema at Great World City, GV Grand, with six screens, including a Gold Class Hall.
