I have had only one, now, nearly unsurmountable problem. With each faster PC, MONEY runs slower and slower to the point that transactions can take anywhere from minutes to over an hour.

I recently purchased a new computer, and tried to transfer my Money Plus, but it needs to be activated. When I try to restore the backup data to the newly installed version of Money, the restore feature will not recognize the original password, which is also the password for the newly installed version. I don't think that I can change the password on the backup without opening it. Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Report abuse. One of the dumbest product decisions Microsoft has made is discontinuing Microsoft Money. The product was always superior to Quicken, yet Microsoft abandoned its product. People are clearly still interested in the product because people are still asking for it years after it was discontinued.
