From 2018 to 2020, he served as a Judge on the Pima County Superior Court after being appointed by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey. He was appointed to fill the vacancy caused by the elevation of Judge Sean Brearcliffe to the Arizona Court of Appeals. She was then an Assistant United States Attorney of the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Arizona from 1986 to 1996.
