Goh Lay Kuan (Chinese: 吴丽娟; born 1939) is an Indonesian-born Singaporean dancer, choreographer, educator, and pioneer of dance in Singapore.Together with her husband, Kuo Pao Kun, she co-founded the Singapore Performing Arts School (now The Theatre Practice), a seminal institution in Singaporean modern theater and dance.
Goh Ballet has toured in Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, and the United States. In 1994, the Youth Company was the first Canadian institution to be asked to perform at Rencontres Internationales de la Danse Festival in La Baule, France.
Saint Anthony's Girls' School was renamed Saint Anthony's Convent in 1906. Subsequently, a new chapel, quarters for the nuns, a kindergarten and first Junior Cambridge class (equivalent to Secondary 3 or 4) were added. The school buildings survived World War II and the Japanese occupation of Singapore.
