Trin-i-tee 5:7 was an American gospel girl group formed in 1997. The original lineup composed of Chanelle Haynes, Angel Taylor, and Terri Brown.The group was launched into mainstream recognition following the release of their best-selling debut album, Trin-i-tee 5:7 (1998), which contained the top-charting gospel single "God's Grace".
The group started in 1998, while their first studio album, Genesis, was released on July 25, 2006, by Light Records. [3] [4] Their subsequent studio album, Zie'l (Pronounced Zy-El), was released on September 2, 2014, with Dream Gospel Records. [5]
After Testimony, no new content was released by the group for over 9 years. On the 26th of February 2016, the group released the album Fearless , their 7th studio album, which charted at number 3 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums, their highest charting album to date.
As a group, the Clark Sisters have won two Grammy Awards [1] and are the highest-selling female gospel group in history. [2] In 2020, the Clark Sisters were honored with the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award at the 35th Annual Stellar Awards. [3] In 2022, the group was inducted into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame. [4]
