Garrett Nicholas Cooper (born December 25, 1990) is an American professional baseball first baseman and right fielder in the Atlanta Braves organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees, Miami Marlins, San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, and Boston Red Sox. Cooper was an All-Star in 2022.
Cooper attended Brigham Young University, where he is a member of their Hall of Fame. [1] He was a starter on their nationally ranked #1 in 1983 and he started nearly every of his 292 games as a Cougar, helping fashion records of 54-11 in 1983, 42-17 in 1984, 44-29 in 1985 and 34-18-2 in 1986.
