Bucklin is a city in Ford County, Kansas, United States. [1] As of the 2020 census , the population of the city was 727. [ 3 ] It is located along U.S. Route 54 highway.
The road gets its name from Milo Bailey Kellogg, a shopkeeper and Civil War veteran who was the city's first civilian postmaster in 1870. The concurrency of US 54 and US 400 continues through Augusta in Butler County before US 400 heads east toward the Missouri state line, while US 54 forms a brief concurrency with US 77 through El Dorado.

K-34 is a 29.26-mile-long (47.09 km) state highway in southwestern Kansas that runs from U.S. Route 160 (US-160) and US-183 near Ashland to US-400 near Bucklin.It is one of the lesser-traveled highways in the state and is not part of the National Highway System.
Bucklin Township covers an area of 110.12 square miles (285.2 km 2) and contains one incorporated settlement, Bucklin. According to the United States Geological Survey, it contains two cemeteries: Bucklin and Pleasant Valley. [1]
