Warren County is a U.S. county located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The 2020 census places Warren County within the Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area with a population of 40,727. [1] The county was established in 1836. The county seat is Front Royal. [2]

Nineveh is an unincorporated community in Warren County, Virginia, on the main road (U.S. Route 522) between Winchester, Virginia, and Front Royal, Virginia. Prior to the creation of Warren County in 1836, Nineveh was in Frederick County, Virginia. A post office at Nineveh operated from the early 1800s [1] until closing in 1954. [2]
