The team began play as the Dallas Charge as a member of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) with a game on June 3, 2015. [2] [3] They were initially headquartered in the Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas area, with most home games at The Ballfields at Craig Ranch.

Two of West Oso's Youth Football teams have advanced to the Texas Youth Football Association State Championship Games this weekend in San Marcos.
The new league began its promotional campaign in 2021 [3] and launched its first official season in 2023. [4] [5] [6] The league is unrelated to the defunct league that used the names National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) and Women's Pro Softball League (WPSL) along with Women's Professional Fastpitch.
