One year before his death, Hawkins was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021 as a member of Foo Fighters. [5] He was voted "Best Rock Drummer" in 2005 by the British drumming on magazine Rhythm. After his death, the Foo Fighters and his family announced two tribute shows, which took place in September 2022.
