The original series films were directed by Hiroshi Fukutomi in 1980, Hideo Nishimaki from 1981-1982, and Tsutomu Shibayama from 1983-2004. Doraemon (ドラえもん, Doraemon) is a Japanese anime television series based on Fujiko F. Fujio's manga of the same name and is the successor to both the 1979 anime and 1973 anime of the same name, serving as the third adaptation in the franchise.
